Lightweight castable
May 15, 2017

Light insulation castable material is divided into three kinds of properties: acidic, alkaline, neutral.

Acid resistant castable
Resistance  to 800 ~ 1200 ℃ acidic medium (nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric  acid, acetic acid, etc.) corrosion of refractory refractory material  called acid castable. Acid-resistant  castable is water glass as a binder, with acidic or acidic refractory  materials as aggregates and powder, plus a small amount of coagulant  configuration. But this castable is not alkali, hot phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid and high fat corrosion.
Acid castables are resistant to acid slag, but are susceptible to alkaline slag erosion. Acid resistant refractory castable is mainly used for  anti-corrosion flue and chimney lining, storage acid tank, pickling tank  lining, nitric acid pied tower lining, acid recovery furnace lining.

Alkali resistant castable
Alkali  castable material is made of aluminum silicate material as refractory  aggregate and powder, and mixed with α-A12O3 powder, with aluminate  cement and admixture prepared alkali-resistant castable, with good high  temperature performance and alkali Erosion performance.
Alkali-resistant  castable in the large and medium-sized dry cement kiln injection nozzle  and kiln, preheater and pipe systems, has been applied, the effect is  good. In addition, the water glass clay refractory castable also has alkali resistance, can resist the erosion of sodium salt melt. Therefore, it is used in the paper industry alkali recovery furnace, get better results.

Neutral castable
Neutral castables are refractory castables that are not readily reactive with acidic or alkaline slag. Such as carbonaceous castables and chrome castables. Some  of the high-alumina castables are also classified as a neutral pour  point with a certain acidic tendency, and the chrome castables are classified as neutral castables with a certain alkaline tendency.
